Terms & Conditions of Trading

These terms form the basis of the contract between you (the customer) and Sherbert Moon Wedding Cakes. Please read them carefully before placing your order.

1. Contract Formation

A legally binding contract is created when your non-refundable booking fee is received. Full order details will be confirmed in writing and form the basis of your design and delivery.

2. Cake Design & Production

• Every cake is handmade — photos and sketches are for guidance only, and slight variations may occur.

• Colours may vary slightly from references. Exact matches cannot be guaranteed.

• Allergens: Our cakes are produced in a kitchen where nuts, dairy, gluten, and eggs are present. We do not operate as an allergen-free business.

3. Fresh Flowers & Decorative Elements

• Fresh flowers are not included in our prices.

• If using flowers, your florist must provide them and ensure they are food-safe.

• We are not liable for any contamination caused by improperly prepared flowers.

4. Delivery & Collection

• Delivery times are arranged with your venue; specific times are not guaranteed.

• If collection is agreed, we are not responsible for any damage after the cake leaves our premises.

5. Payments

• A £100 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your date.

• Final balance is due no later than 1 month before the event date. Late payments may delay production.

• Payment confirms agreement to these terms.

6. Cancellation & Postponement

• More than 90 days: Booking fee only retained

• 90–30 days: 50% of balance payable

• Less than 30 days: Full balance payable

• Postponements are treated the same and are only transferable once, if availability allows.

7. Liability

• Our liability is limited to the value of the cake or order.

• We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss.

• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or injury caused by our negligence.

8. Complaints

• Complaints must be reported within 48 hours and accompanied by the remaining cake/tier.

• Please notify us before posting publicly — we aim to resolve issues professionally and fairly.

9. Intellectual Property

• All cake designs, sketches, and concepts remain the property of Sherbert Moon Wedding Cakes.

• We reserve the right to use images of your cake in our portfolio and promotional materials.

10. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of England & Wales. By placing an order, you accept these terms in full.
